The Human Rights League is proud to announce the latest edition of the Integration Forum, taking place on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Bratislava. This year’s central theme, "Resilience in Times of Uncertainty," addresses the urgent need to strengthen cooperation between state administration, international organizations and civil society in the face of global challenges.
The event will open with a high-level discussion on European security featuring the Ambassadors of France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Panellists will explore Europe's strategic role in supporting Ukraine and examine opportunities for deepening cooperation between the European Union and the UK. A key focus of the debate will be building resilience against technological threats, such as the impact of artificial intelligence, the spread of disinformation and interference in electoral processes. This dialogue with diplomatic representatives will offer a direct and pragmatic analysis of how to safeguard democratic resilience within both the state and civil society against modern threats.
The second part of the event will shift its focus to the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum. Experts will specifically address the protection of vulnerable individuals within the framework of legislative changes set to take effect in mid-2026. The panel will feature the Public Defender of Rights, Róbert Dobrovodský, the Commissioner for Children, Jozef Mikloško, and Pavol Dinga from the Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior. Building on last year’s discussions regarding Slovakia’s preparedness for these new regulations, the panel will explore how to ensure dignified conditions for those most affected by the changes. The conversation will also focus on the implementation of new mandates, such as border screening and processing procedures, which represent a fundamental shift for Slovakia.
The forum will conclude with a session dedicated to philanthropy and the resilience of the civil sector. Representatives from the private and non-profit sectors will illustrate how NGOs can respond to crises with speed and efficiency. Furthermore, they will highlight the indispensable role that corporate and foundation support plays in the broader process of building social resilience.
For over a decade, the Human Rights League has organized the Integration Forum to bridge the gap between migration and asylum policy and current social developments. This year’s event has been supported by the British Embassy, the French Embassy and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES).
