Children

Watch a video on unaccompanied children in Slovakia:

The situation of unaccompanied children and their disappearances is addressed in the publication "The Fading Children".

This is a position paper based on the Human Rights League’s research conducted from September 2013 to September 2014, including research on legislation, statistics, available studies and analysis (‘desk-research’) and the implementation and analysis of interviews (‘field-research’). The research was conducted as part of the Missing Children Project sponsored by the Open Society Foundation. The document consists of findings and recommendations, and its initial analysis also includes profiles of children from Afghanistan and Somalia living in Slovakia.
